Windows
Windows are a secondary measure. They only go in if the SEAI survey finds single glazing, and only alongside other approved works.

You can't apply for windows on their own through this scheme. The survey has to show they're needed, and they travel with insulation or other funded measures.
Since 2018 Midland Warmer Homes has been on the SEAI panel for these deeper upgrades. For qualifying households they're still fully funded when they're approved. We don't take a contribution.
If the survey doesn't support window work, your job stays on the insulation, ventilation and other measures the house does qualify for.
Who it's for
- Homes where the survey finds single glazing
- Jobs that already include other approved Warmer Homes measures
- Owner-occupiers on a qualifying payment, home built before 2006
What to expect
- Only fitted if the SEAI survey recommends it
- Always alongside other approved works, never as a standalone job
- Fully funded when it's approved. No payment to us
Worth knowing. Secondary measure, only fitted alongside other approved works.
You'll still need to meet the scheme rules. Check if you qualify before you apply.
Questions
People also ask
Are windows or a new heating system included?
Sometimes. If the home survey identifies single-glazed windows, inefficient heating, or supports a heat pump or solar PV, those can be included alongside other approved works. They're not fitted as a standalone job.
What happens during the home survey?
Once your application is submitted, SEAI arranges a survey of your home to confirm exactly which measures you qualify for. It's carried out on their behalf, at no cost to you.
What measures are covered?
We install cavity wall, internal wall, external wall and attic insulation, plus ventilation. Windows, heat pumps and solar PV are sometimes included where a survey shows they're needed, alongside other approved works.
