Do You Qualify?
The Better Energy Warmer Homes Scheme is fully funded by SEAI. There's no cost to you at any stage. You may qualify if you meet all of the following.
You may qualify if:
- You own your home
- Your home was built before 2006
- You receive one of the qualifying payments below
You need to receive one of these payments
- Fuel Allowance
- Jobseeker's Allowance (6+ months, with a child under 7)
- Working Family Payment
- One-Parent Family Payment
- Domiciliary Care Allowance
- Carer's Allowance (and you live with the person you care for)
A few things worth knowing
- Rented properties aren't covered under this scheme, though landlords can apply separately through the Better Energy Homes Scheme.
- Stone or solid brick homes can't receive wall insulation, but they may still qualify for attic insulation and other measures.
- You can only take part in this scheme once.
